SPORT AND COMPETITION

The Long Distance Triathlon Catalonia - Excelent is a competitive sport which will take place in Banyoles the 26th September 

• The distances will be: 4 km. Swimming, 120 km cycling and 30 km running
• We forecast 300 sports people considering as well the participation of well renowned specialists

• The prices will go from 600 Euros (1^st price), 300 Euros (2^nd price), 200 Euros (3^rd price) and 100 euros (4^th price), both for masculine and feminine categories.

• There is going to be a zone Expo, with different activities the day before (Saturday) including lectures, cycling and running with world championships.

Price: Before the 26 August: 100€. After the 26 August: 150€

Rules

- The race will follow the rules of I.T.U. , Spanish and Catalan Triathlon Federation
- Registration implies the agreement on the race rules. Any event not considered in the rules will be decided by the OC.
- All sports with licences will be allowed to participate. It will be possible to organize a one day licence.
- Helmet is compulsory.
- Drafting is NOT allowed.
- The OC well not take any responsibility on damages and accidents occurred before, during and after the race.

11.00 – 12.30 Cycling training with Melcior Mauri (1 official course round, 40Km)
11.00 – 11.45 Running training with Martín Fíz (20´ run around the official course)
13.00 – 14.00 Official Presentation in the Local Council with Eneko Llanos, Martín Fíz, Melcior Mauri.
17.00 – 20.00 Feet check up free for all participants.
17.00 – 20.00 Mechanical work-shop for bicycles.
16.00 – 18.00 Accreditation.
16.00 – 20.00 Village Opening
16.00 – 17.00 Technical speeches in Spanish by Eneko LLanos (Olympic Games Sidney and Athens, World Champion 2003) José Maria Merchán ((Olympic Games Sidney ).
17.00 – 18.00 Race briefing . (English)
17.00 – 19.00 Control y material delivery in boxes.
19.00 – 21.00 Pasta Party

09.20 First sportsman / woman leaves the water.
12.20 First sportsman / woman arrives by bicycle
